Resistance Welding Diagram

Electrical resistance welding is a trusted and cheap method of joining metal together.  The application of electricity, pressure, time, along with the electrical resistance of the materials creates enough heat to melt the materials together. Unlike other welding processes such as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), no other consumable material is used to make the weld.

There are several types of resistance welding including:

  • Resistance Spot Welding (including Seam Welding)
  • Resistance Projection Welding: (including Cross Wire Welding)
  • Flash Butt Resistance Welding
  • Upset Resistance Welding

While we assist our customers with all of these processes, we specialize in Resistance Spot and Projection Welding. You can find more information on our products, equipment and services below.
